Registered contractors asked to apply for identity card

Kohima, June 13 (MExN): The Nagaland Government Registered Class-1 Contractors’ Union (NGRC-1 CU) has requested the registered contractors to submit “required documents” to the office of NGRC-1 CU, Phezoucha, Secretariat Road, Kohima during working hours.

A press release issued by Seyiekuolie, President NGRC-1 CU stated that as per the provision of Rules 2006 for Registration of Contractors under Nagaland State Government, the Rule-16(B) under the caption ‘identity card for registered contractors’ where it provides that the identity card for every registered contractor shall be in accordance with the sample prescribed in Annexure-III of the Rules.

Time to time the Union has been collecting the required documents of the registered contractors and submits to the issuing authority (Government) in bulk for the issuing of identity card. Hence, the Union once again reminds and asked the government registered contractors to approach the office of NGRC-1 CU at the earliest for the sake of all conveniences, the release sated. 

“The Union would officially approach the office of Engineer-in-Chief, NPWD with a request to furnish the list of valid registered contractor upto date so as to enable the Union to forward the valid registered contractors to the issuing authority for the same,” it added.
