Rehabilitation camp for disabled persons from Apr 25

Kohima, April 23 (DIPR): A 5-day Rehabilitation Camp for Disabled persons under ADPI scheme for Kohima District will be conducted from April 25 to 29 at Naga Hospital Kohima (NHK) where selected disabled persons will provide assistive aids/appliances.   
The ensuing camp will cover disabled persons from 15 years of age and above. However, individuals who do not fall for the said age group of 15 years and above but want to avail the free medical assessment are free to come and avail the assistance, however, they will not be eligible for the selection under the ADPI scheme. Individuals who attend the camp should come with income certificates from competent authority since the ADPI programme has different subsidies according to the monthly income of the individuals or parents.
The subsidies available are:  Upto 6500 per month - 100% subsidy; Upto 6501 to 10000 per month - 50% subsidy and above 10001 per month - nil subsidies to cost the aid
Registration for the Rehabilitation Camp will begin from 9 am onwards at Naga Hospital Kohima from 25th April 2011. The cost of transportation will have to be borne individually and would not be covered.
The date allotted for the different zones are Tseminyu - 25/4/2011; Northen Angami - 26/4/2011; Western Angami - 27/4/2011; Southern Angami - 28/4/2011 and Kohima Sadar - 29/4/2011
The camp will include, to provide, medical prescriptions, disability evaluation and enrolment for assistive aids/ appliances.
