This rejoinder is given against the press release published in the name of one Mr. Thomas in Morung Express on 16th January,2016, Under the caption, “ Retrospection ……..nagaland”. Mr. Thomas said, “God had told not to accept Indian constitution”, when Shillong accord was made. But alas! Clause (1) of the accord is “……. Accept Indian constitution by their own volition”.
The second helpless attempt Mr. Thomas trying to fool the Naga people is “Shillong accord had died a natural death”. Wao… you may say as you wish but Nagas are not that foolish. Had it not been condemned by the anti accord party led by the Chairman Isak and Gen. Secy. Th. Muivah it would not have died. Not only had the Shillong accord signed by the NNC but started implementing by depositing a lot of arms and ammunition.
As far as killing is concerned, yes, I am against any form of killing, but then who started killing? Who killed T. Sakhire, Dr. Imkongliba, General Kaito, etc? Were they also killed by the NSCN? What was the reason behind their killing? Never attempt to fool the Nagas any more brother Thomas. I am as you are, a man from backward community. I hope, by implementing the agreement which is likely to come out in the very near future our people, from both sides of the so called international boundary, will be able to see the light of the world to some extend and thereby come to know the real meaning of freedom. They will be able to live peaceful and prosperous lives. We must not stop them from having it by saying many back and forth words.
Yes, thanks a lot to all the Naga pioneers including AZ. Phizo for taking many positive steps till 11th November, 1975. Are the present NNC s taking any step? No nothing. Yes, Isak and Muivah with their friends and followers had condemned the Shillong Accord or Sale out Accord. They could counter couped who had couped them, fought the enemies left and right, garnered the international support, held political talk at the highest level, i,e Prime Ministers level unlike NNC having signed Shillong Accord with a Governor. Of course, it is very natural that people who fought against their own brothers with the help of their masters are jealous on the outcome of the negotiation which is likely to come out in the near future. They, not only jealous but are hell bent to undo the sacrifices and achievements undertaken by the NSCN led by Isak and Muivah. But Nagas are conscious enough to prove who can do what. They know that history tellers, money collectors to build his own empire and power mongers can do nothing to defend the identity of the Nagas and their land and for the upliftment of the poor.
May God give honest mind to each and every Nagas.
KUKNALIM.
