Rejoinder to ‘2 GPRN/NSCN killed by NSCN (K)’

This rejoinder is issued in connection with the incident which occurred at Longkhim Town on 05th Dec. where two of our GPRN/NSCN functionary was murdered by NSCN (K) namely Late ‘Lieut.’ Lemthong Tsaba and ‘Raza Peyu’ Chumkyuse of the Sangtam Region.

Both of them (the deceased) were abducted from their private residence by Moses Sangtam and Yangphongshe Sangtam belonging to NSCN (K) and were killed some few kilometers away from Longkhim Town.

Late ‘Raza Peyu’ Chumkyuse Sangtam was earlier only a Tata Sumo taxi driver who was plying his taxi  between Longkhim and Tuensang but was forcefully enrolled in the GPRN/NSCN by Moses Sangtam. After defecting to NSCN (K) last month, Moses Sangtam killed his own follower, which shows his clear intention that he was after the life of Lt. Chumkyuse Sangtam ‘Raza Peyu’ from the start. Moreover, few days back before Moses Sangtam joined the NSCN (K) fold, he gave directives to Camp Commander Tuensang to ‘assassinate’ late Lieut. Lemthong Tsaba Sangtam but since lt. Lemthong Tsaba has no bad records either in the Naga Army or in the Government level, the directive given by Moses Sangtam was overlooked. Late Lieut. Lemthong Tsaba was on leave to spend the festive season with his family when his life was forcefully snatched away by the NSCN (K).

Since ENPO has declared its jurisdiction as ‘Peace Zone’ and Longkhim Town also falls under it, the GPRN/NSCN respected the decision of the ENPO and maintained non-violence in the area but the actions of the blood thirsty persons like Moses Sangtam and Yangphongshe Sangtam, has rejected the people’s mandate and exposed the evil designs of the NSCN (K) group.

Moreover, the statement issued by  the secretary MIP of NSCN (K) which appeared in the daily local newspaper on 07th Dec. is false and fabricated since GPRN/NSCN cadres never proceeded to Longkhim Town as claimed by the NSCN (K).

The GRPN/NSCN salutes the sacrifice made by the two brave comrades who laid down their life in the struggle for a Nation. The GPRN/NSCN conveys our sincere condolences to the bereaved family members and prays for the departed souls to rest in peace.
