Rejoinder to news item

A rejoinder to the article. “Government drive to check children trafficking” appeared in daily esteemed on 8th July 2009. The article based the statement of Mr L Salony member of the Senapati Child Welfare Committee contained some misgiving statements to the public and thus the Kaibi village authorities and the parents would like to make certain clarification on the same issue. Though we fully support both the government agencies and the NGO(s) in fighting against such inhuman acts of child trafficking. However, the recent case of Howrah is not actually a child trafficking case. The children were taken by Pastor Reev. A Athikho with the consent of the parents for further stuties in Jesus Residential School run by Gospel prayer fellowship, Chebrole Dist. West Godavari, Andhra Pradesh recognized by the government of India bearing Regd. No. 100/83 and such evidence was also envisaged and verified by the police led by SDPO Mao.

We would like to further  reaffirm that, the parents requested the Pastor and willingly sent their children for further studies after confirming well about the organization and the institution in which children were taken to. However, it is actually sad to see the paradoxical change of the drama as he failed to promote the necessary documents to back his escorts claim of innocency.
