I order to set the history of Naga National Movement straight it is my bounded duty to issue this rejoinder to correct factual errors stated on page 2 of the book:
1. In the said book the author refers to my name as “Eno Azüto Sema, High Court Chairman.” My name id Azüto Keppen Rengma from Phenshünyu Village. I am not a Sema. My father was Gwaheni Keppen Rengma and for that matter my great grand father down the line were not Semas. It is true that I hels the position of High Court Chairman of Naga Federal Government. Mhiemo Angami was the Vice Chairman and Shürhozelie was the Secretary.
2. It is also wrong to call late Whenha Rengma as “Whenha Kent Rengma”. Late Whenha Rengma (Ato Kilonser) son of Nyenlo Kesen never used Kent. He belongs to Kesen clan and not Kent clan.
3. The formation of Naga Federal Government on March 22, 1956 was held at Phenshünyu, and not at Sedenyu as stated. On the same day the First Naga Federal Government hoisted its Flag at Phenshünyu as well. The Flag was hoisted by Thungti Chang who was Naga Army Chief in Command under the leadership of AZ Phizo, the then President of NNC. The original source may be verified from Phizo’s diary and in the news publication of Assam Tribune which made the first public news to the outside world.
This rejoinder is issued as a living testimony to strengthen the Naga National Movement and its recorded history.
Azüto Keppen Rengma,
Phenshünyu
