REM Group, an upcoming local construction and entrepreneur company, organized a felicitation programme in honour of the groups’ chairman and managing director, Temjen Imna Along Longkumer, here at Niathu Resort on Tuesday evening.
Along Longkumer was conferred the International Award Recipient on ‘Leadership Excellence in Social Entrepreneurship’ at the 7th edition of Middle East Business Leadership Award 2016 on February 17 last at the Inter Continental London Park Lane, London.
A host of tribal bodies and NGOs including the Japu Village Council and East Dimapur Business Organization felicitated Longkumer for bagging the award. DC Kohima, Rajesh Sundaram, Moatoshi Lkr and K Longri Imchem in their speeches also testified on the dedication and humanitarian services rendered by REM Group and Longkumer.
Longkumer in his address said the award he received is dedicated to the REM Group and to all the Naga people. He said the REM Group is a company dedicated to serving the grassroot people and giving wings to the dreams of the poor and needy for a better future.
He said REM is a company that has come out from the children of the poor, the farmer and people who dared to dream. The objective of REM is to exhibit integrity and quality workmanship in all its activities and business.
Longkumer also said REM’s vision is that through sheer dedication and hard work, Nagas would one day come out from the shell of poverty and backwardness and stand tall among other peoples and nations.
