Remain Firmly Committed to Serving All Insured: Insurance Company

Dimapur, January 10 (MExN): Amid concerns over the suspension of services under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) and the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) by certain empanelled hospitals in Nagaland, the Future Generali India Insurance Company (FGI) reassured today that it remains firmly committed to serving all those insured under the schemes.

In a statement received here, the FGI, the company tasked with implementing PM-JAY and CMHIS in Nagaland, acknowledged facing challenges in the implementation of health insurance under these schemes. However, it assured the public that it has been actively working with the relevant authorities to address these challenges to ensure the sustainability of the schemes and to prevent any loss to customers.

“As lifetime partners to our Customers, we remain firmly committed to serving all who have insured with us,” the FGI stated.

The company also noted that the Government of Nagaland is focused on controlling fraud and ensuring that the premiums remain viable without putting pressure on the state’s exchequer.

It pointed out that any policy administrator or insurer would be compelled to hike rates to reflect the claims outgo, adding that, in addition to claims paid out, significant administrative costs are incurred.

“The honest taxpayer will ultimately bear the brunt of a system that fails to control leakages,” the company cautioned.
