Pfutsero, January 9 (MExN): The Phek District Farmers' Union (PDFU) has informed all registered/progressive farmers of Phek District to renew their respective registration on or before February 29, 2016, failing which his/her registration shall stand cancelled.
PDFU also informed progressive and concentrated farmers to register themselves under the PDFU on or before February 29.
The union has also requested every village/town under Phek District to form Village/Town Farmers' Union on or before February 29 if not formed as yet. Those villages/towns which have already formed Village/Town Farmers' Union have been asked to contact the PDFU Head Office at Pfutsero.
Meanwhile, PDFU informed that a Sub-Committee for important commercial crops viz., Medicinal and aromatic plants, fruits, spices, vegetables etc. will be formed at the earliest.
