Renovated Rüziedzükhou in Kma inaugurated

A renovated Rüziedzükhou (Traditional well), constructed by Kenei Peli- 9 Tsütuonuomia Thinuo was formally inaugurated today at Kohima village.

Located around Ura Academy, the spot have been renovated into a kind of park.

Inaugurating this, Thepfuvilie Suohu, chairman Tsütuonuomia Thinuo Council acknowledged Kenei Peli- 9 for coming forward to renovate this traditional well for the benefit of the community. 

He said that this Rüziedzükhou is one of the most sacred wells amongst seven traditional well within T. Khel. 

There was no restriction of drawing water from this well.

In the wake of shortage of water supply in Kohima, Suohu stressed on the need to renovate the other existing traditional wells as well in and around Kohima village.

Renovation Committee convenor Khrietuo Belho in his brief report informed that the renovation works cost around Rs. 10 lakh.

He thanked the rural development department for placing solar lights in the vicinity of this traditional well. Presently, Kenei Peli- 9 has 63 male and 73 female.

The function was chaired by K. Neibou Sekhose while Kelhousinyü Solo delivered welcome address.

Rev. Kevimese Suohu prayed for the programme while Ketuoravi-ü Solo presented a special number. Vote of thanks was proposed by Thepfuzakie Suohu.
