Nagaland’s Deputy Chief Minister (Home) Y Patton, who is also Minister-in-charge of CAWD today informed that an amount of Rs 313.31 lakh have been sanctioned for construction of ADC office in Pughoboto, the work which started in 2016.


Replying this to MLA Y Vikheho Swu in a starred question at the 5th session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly here, Patton said that payment amounting to Rs 138.29 lakh have been made so far to the contractors.


On being asked as to why there was no allocation of fund during 2019-20, the Deputy CM informed that the work order expired with effect from March 2018 and no extension of time has been applied by the contactor till date. Hence, funds were not booked. However, the fund released so far commensurate with the work progress.


Further, Patton informed that it was subject to extension of time for the work and if funds are placed in time, the department will try to complete the project by August 2020.


 
Status of augmentation of water supply in Wokha

PHED Minister Jacob Zhimomi today informed that the main components of the Augmentation of Water Supply to Wokha town from Engorotchu with capacity of 3.75 million liter per day have been completed and commissioned on October 12, 2018.


Replying this to MLA Dr Chumben Murry on the floor of the House, the Minister maintained that the Department encountered some technical and other unforeseen problems. “The department is in the process of rectifying the problems by repairing the affected items while efforts are underway to complete the remaining works,” Zhimomi informed.


 
Status of progress of work on NH-202

Replying to MLA Muthingnyuba Sangtam on the latest status of the progress of work on the NH-202 and the amount sanctioned for NH-202 from the MORTH, Deputy CM Patton responded that there are two numbers of ongoing projects under Annual Renewal Programme (a) Improvement of Riding Quality Programme (IRQP) to NH-202 from km 130.00 (near C/Saddle) to km 140.00 (near Yakur) under Tuensang Division, where the physical progress is 50% and financial progress is 32.63% (b) Periodic renewal from km 272.00 (near Ngoromi) to km 284.00 (near Akhegwo) on NH-202 under Kiphire Division where the physical progress is 60% and financial progress is 22.00%. The amount sanctioned for NH-202 from the MORTH is Rs 297.60 crore.
