Dimapur, February 5 (MExN): Resonance has announced the results for Stage-I examination of Scholarship cum Talent Reward Test (STaRT-2012) recently. A huge participation was recorded from 552 districts & 35 states & union territories of India. More than 70,000 students & 500 schools appeared for Stage I examinations conducted on various dates in December 2011, in offline and online mode.
The test-takers were students from classes VI to XII with career orientation towards engineering, medical, commerce studies & others. Keeping up its tradition of complete transparency in all its communication, Resonance has made available the scanned ORS (Optical Response Sheet) of all the participants & Answer keys of test papers of Stage-I on STaRT.s official website www.resostart.in for students to verify their own results.
As a part of its social initiatives, Resonance made a provision to conduct this exam free of cost for students from govternment schools, Jawahar Navodya Vidyalayas (JNVs) & Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs). The qualified students of Stage-I examination will appear for Stage II Test to be conducted in offline mode (only), on February 5 at Resonance.s 26 Test Centres in selected cities. Stage-II will be followed by Felicitation Function & Champion.s Camp at Kota for the final qualified students.
The registrations for STaRT-2012 were made open on September 26, 2011 for the two stage selection process at various schools country wide and at Resonance test centres in selected cities in North, West, Central, East & South Zones. Both the tests are OMR based, comprising objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology & Mental Ability, mainly from NCERT syllabus of the respective classes.
STaRT-2012 is a nation-wide talent hunt called .Scholarship & Talent Reward Test ambitiously launched by Resonance in 2011. It is a two-stage national level talent test for students of class VI, VII, VIII, IX, X and XI & XII of Science Stream. The program aspires to identify & outreach the talented students across the nation and urges them to discover their potential through a genuine assessment of aptitude & subject knowledge with national benchmarking.
STaRT-2012 is loaded with excellent & biggest prizes & awards to the winning students including Gold Medal & Eleven days visit to USA including three days visit to Space Camp at Kennedy Space Centre, NASA, USA and also four to five other tourist attractions in USA for National toppers from each class; Silver Medal & Six Days visit to Singapore including Science Centre Singapore and also four to five other tourist attractions in Singapore for National runners-up from each class; Bronze Medal & a high-end Laptop of worth Rs. 50000 for National second runners-up from each Class; Desktop PCs worth Rs. 25000 for National 04th to 10th Rank from each class; numerous other attractive prizes for National Ranks upto 500 from each class. In STaRT 2012, total 3500 prizes of worth more than Rs. 50 Lakhs shall be awarded to winning students.
Resonance has also generously allocated scholarships of maximum worth of Rs. Six Crores for the final top hundred students, from each class, if they enroll into yearlong classroom programmes of Resonance. The winners will be invited at Kota for the Felicitation Function to be held in February, 2012.The final top hundred students of all classes except class XII shall also be invited for three days Champion.s Camp at Kota, Rajasthan in which expert mentors of Resonance shall educate and guide them with a focus on establishing foundation for future competitive exams.
According to the format of STaRT-2012, the schools conducted first stage test of STaRT-2012 in their own premises and also become entitled for awards of worth more than Rs. 12 Lacs in various reward categories for Schools, their Principals and Coordinators based on performance and participation of their students.
