‘Responsible officer should act as catalyst’

Dimapur, April 19 (DIPR): The Department of Social Welfare inaugurated Child Development Programme Officer (CDPO) office at Dhansiripar Sub-Division on April 19.
MLA and Advisor Sericulture and Co-operation Azhito Zhimomi while inaugurating the new building as the chief guest expressed his displeasure on thin attendance by various Divisional head of offices function. Urging the responsible officer in the division to be sincere, he said that without their co-operation no Government policy or development could be implemented. He urged them to act as the catalysts on implementing various flagship programmes to uplift the division as they were the torch-bearer of the Government. While lauding the social welfare department of their achievement, Azhito also called upon the Department officer to conduct training or workshop for common people to create awareness on various flagship programme undertaken by the concern department which would benefit the common people.
Azhito inaugurates New CDPO Office at Dhansiripar
Adl. Director (SW) Khevito Shohe in his short speech said that construction of CDPO office in this Sub-Division is one of the leading projects undertaken by the concern department. Lauding the community participation of this block, he remark that this block is an award winning block in terms of implementing various government projects which need to be emulated by other blocks in the state.
SDO (C)  Dhansiripar Anoop Khinchi IAS  while speaking in the same function  opined that to make the country a strong nation we need to give special attention to the children and to the pregnant women, he said that if the children and women in the country had healthy body and mind it would take the country forward . He said that ICDS being one of the flagship programme health care support for child and women development, we need to implement it judiciously, he further said that to achieve the target we need training of Anganwadi and ASHA workers in convergence with Health and Social welfare. The office is being established in the year 1997.
