Wokha, November 17 (MExN): The Wokha district administration has announced temporary movement restrictions on Doyang Bridge along the Wokha–Merapani Road to facilitate repair works, following a request from the Executive Engineer of PWD (R&B), Baghty Division.
According to an order issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Wokha, the restrictions will be enforced from November 19 to 23.
The order stated that the measures are being implemented “to ensure public safety during the process of repair works at Doyang Bridge in Wokha-Merapani Road.”
During the period, there will be complete restriction on the movement of heavy commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, tipper trucks or dumpers, and tankers. Movement of medium commercial vehicles such as mini trucks, buses, and excavators will also be restricted.
Light motor vehicles not exceeding pickup trucks, including Mahindra Bolero Pik-Up, Tata Yodha and Isuzu D-MAX, will be allowed to ply.
