Dimapur, May 15 (MExN): The Council of Baptist Churches in North East India (CBCNEI) has announced the selection of Rev Dr Lima Jamir as the new President of the Council for the 2026–2029 term.
According to a press release issued by CBCNEI Secretary General Rev Dr Jamseng R Mar, Rev Dr Lima Jamir, who serves as Associate Pastor of Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo, succeeds Rev Dr Onesima Anal.
The Council expressed gratitude to the outgoing president for his leadership and contributions during his tenure. It stated that the new president brings years of experience, wisdom, and commitment to the vision and mission of the Council.
CBCNEI further expressed hope that under the leadership of Rev Dr Lima Jamir, the Council would continue to grow in unity, service, and ministry for the welfare of the community and advancement of the Church’s mission.
The Council also appealed to member churches, associations, and affiliated organisations to uphold the new president in prayer and extend cooperation as he assumes office.
