The two-day silver jubilee celebration of Eleutheros Christian Society Self Help Group (ECS SHG) held at Tuensang Town Baptist Lashong (TTBL), Tuensang concluded on November 25.
Gracing the morning service as the speaker, Tiakala Ao, General Manager/Officer Incharge, NABARD Regional Office, Nagaland launched a new scheme for the ECS SHG called ‘Revolving Fund.’ This scheme will promote income generation for SHG members with an amount of Rs 5 crore at the rate of 6% interest per annum.
Rev Dr Chingmak Kejong, Secretary, ECS spoke and screened a documentary of women sharing their journey on how SHG helped them. DC Tuensang, Nokchasashi, NCS and Nungsanglemba, President, CKS also spoke during the service.
In the evening service, Akala, President, Changsao Thangjam Setshang (CTS) was the speaker. She spoke on ‘realities and opportunities of Naga women today.’
Asangla, Chendang SHG narrated her experience while Nayung Khumla, daughter of Rev Dr Chingmak Kejong also delivered a short speech on behalf of the family. Closing ceremony was performed by Tuensang Town Baptist Lashong (TTBL) Youth Ministry.
