DIMAPUR, JANUARY 22 (MExN): Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has written to V. Hekali Zhimomi, Director of Census Operations, Nagaland and congratulated her on been conferred with the Census Silver Medal award given by the Government of India on January 11, 2013 in New Delhi. Rio in his letter has stated that he was extremely pleased to learn of the award. Rio wrote that the prestigious medal handed over by the President of India in the august presence of Union Home Minister and high government dignitaries was a recognition of the exemplary leadership and team spirit which was exhibited by Hekali in the conduct of the run up to the 2011 Census for the State of Nagaland.
“As Director of Census Operations, Nagaland, you have exhibited outstanding leadership initiatives to carry along all those who worked with you. The rapport which you had built with the government officials, tribal hohos, church organizations, youth organizations and the village elders had resulted in giving a realistic Census 2011 for the State”, stated Rio in his letter. The CM also stated that this will go a long way in enabling the State government to plan realistic approaches to developmental planning processes.
Rio has on behalf of the government of Nagaland and the people, extended and conveyed congratulations to Hekali on her receiving the award. Rio also prayed that God will continue to bless her with good health, energy and wisdom to enable her to keep on working tirelessly for development and welfare of the people.
