
KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 25 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has expressed appreciation to the Government of Nagaland for its swift action in addressing the grievances of RMSA Teachers of the 2016 batch.
In a press release, the Federation acknowledged the positive outcome of a meeting held on September 23 at the Office of the Commissioner & Secretary, School Education, which was attended by officials from the School Education Department, Samagra Shiksha, ANSTA and representatives of the RMSA 2016 batch.
NSF placed on record its gratitude to the School Education Department under the leadership of Advisor Dr Kekhrie Yhome for initiating reforms and prioritising the welfare of both teachers and students. The Federation assured full cooperation in efforts to bring about positive educational transformation in the state.
In view of the meeting and the constitution of a High-Level Committee and Sub-Committee to examine and address the charter of demands of RMSA teachers, NSF formally withdrew the 10-day ultimatum issued to the State Government on September 17. The Federation urged the committees to expedite submission of their reports.
NSF also appealed to the RMSA 2016 batch to enhance their dedication and commitment to the student community, emphasizing that the joint efforts of the government, teachers, and stakeholders would strengthen Nagaland’s education sector.
