With no response from the government as the indefinite sit-in protest of the Nagaland RMSA 2016 Teachers Association entered its third day today, the association will shift its agitation from present Directorate of School Education, Kohima to the Nagaland Civil Secretariat from September 11.
Speaking to The Morung Express, RMSA spokesperson Renbemo L Patton expressed disappointment over the government's continued silence on the demands of the agitating teachers.
“Till now, we have not received any positive response from the government. We are deeply dejected by their attitude towards us,” Patton said.
Intensifying the agitation, Patton informed that the protest would be shifted to the Nagaland Civil Secretariat from Thursday. The sit-in demonstration will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
He also informed that the Association was notified over a phone call about a meeting scheduled with a government official at the Secretariat on September 11 at 11 a.m.
