‘Road to Somewhere’: Tetseo Sisters releases first Pop Rap

Tetseo Sisters has released their first Pop Rap trilingual single on YouTube last Friday as part of the No.1 Yaari JamPad project, a digital product of Mcdowells and music aggregator, Hungama Artist Aloud.

The song ‘Road to Somewhere’ is a peppy, upbeat song with lyrics in English, Hindi and Chokri Naga rap segments written by Tetseo Sisters and composed by Mhaseve MKT.

The song celebrates friendship, travel and finding purpose in life.

According to the band, it is a celebration of the friendship among the siblings and their joint love for travel and exploring the world together with strong tones of positivity, courage and never giving up on life.

"It doesn't matter if we lose direction, we will always find another way." and Chokri Naga lyrics, "Sekümo, ngokűmo ra vo to, khie! Translates as "To places unknown, unseen, we will go! Let's go!"

We have been waiting for the release impatiently because it is something we haven't done before and we are absolutely excited and happy with the positive way it has been received by fans and critics alike, stated Tetseo Sisters.

The music video launched on Mcdowells No 1 Yaari Jam Pad YouTube Channel with Hungama Artist Aloud for digital distribution, and features songs on friendship (Yaari) by other Indian artistes including Sunidhi Chauhan, Neha Bhasin, Swarathma, Luke Kenny, Faridkot, Sanam, Nucleya, Clinton Cerejo, Shaan, Sonu Nigam and Ustad Zakir Hussain among others.

Recorded and filmed last October, the project includes 29 other bands from across India with a weekly Friday release since February 2020, one band at a time.
