About Us releases first official music video ‘Gimme Gimme’

“Mark my words... this is gonna go places. Awards incoming” – read one of the comments on the About Us first official music video ‘Gimme Gimme’ which premiered in YouTube channel on April 28. 

Over 600 comments and 20k views have logged in, all in appreciation and support of About Us and their latest song release. 

About Us is an experimental hard rock musical band from Nagaland. The band line up:  Sochan- vocals; Renlamo- Guitars; Ponn- Guitars; Soren- Bass; Lich Kithan- drums; and Renbomo: Keyboard.

The band has already released their first singles ‘Loaded Love’ in December 21, 2020. 

The music was recorded and mixed at Infinite Records, Kohima and the video was shot by “Tbos Entertainment” (of PSYCHO K4 Fame).

The song is bringing back the rock genre from the 80s and 90s much to the ecstasy of music lovers in Nagaland. 

An excited fan commented, “Speechless. Being born in the 80’s Era, rock music has always been the backbone of my whole system. Finally I am too proud to share that after decades the image of Naga Original Music is finally back. Thank you so much “About us.”

“...my phone started spitting fire while listening to this, there are many stars in Nagaland but to me “About Us” shines the brightest among them all for now thank you “About us” for literally offering us something good during this time, more power and blessings to y'all,” wrote another comment. 

“No wonder Nagas are talented but this one!!! Way above...beyond reach. First time in a long time felt sooooo good,” a musician commented with the request to “make more music.”

Sharing the funny side in the midst of the overwhelming comments, a fan said, “Right now I’m in the middle of a jungle searching for network because I was too eager to watch this MV... Right now the flies, mosquitoes and birds are head banging with me.” 

Another shared, “I was listening to this on my phone when my father came into my room and slapped me after seeing what I was doing then he told me, “there's loudspeakers in the living room. Play on that.”

Adding to the elation of the fans, the band has also shared an exciting update that ‘Gimme Gimme’ is from their upcoming self-titled debut album, which according to the band manager and lyricist, K Edward Ngullie, hopes to release in a few months.
