For the first time, Rising People’s Party (RPP) youth wing, Rising Youth (RY), Dimapur-Chümoukedima-Niuland (D-C-N) area, kicked-off an interactive session-cum-membership drive for Dimapur district at Vikiye Complex, opposite Notun Bosti Gate on June 11.
Rising Youth (Central), President, Zhokhoi Chuzho, stated that today, the younger generation of the state has accepted the party and what it stands for. “We are not against any particular political party but we are against the corruption that has gripped the governance structure of the state,” he said.
Chuzho therefore said that RPP was formed in order to open the eyes of the public towards all these issues. He noted that, “this is just the beginning as we will not stop until we have a seat in the state legislative assembly.”
“While other parties might use muscle power and force to win votes, we will not intimidated by such tactics as I believe in my Naga people to do the right thing at the ballot box and vote for RPP when it matters,” Chuzho expressed.
The initiative was aimed towards looking for ‘like-minded and dedicated,’ individuals who would work towards bringing a systematic change in the political sphere of the state, the party stated.
Furthermore, the party has mentioned that the membership drive will continue on in the coming days for all the three districts.
