Rs. 10 lakh total prize set for 25th Classic Cup 2019

The Classic Club Kohima today announced that the 25th Classic Cup 2019 will start from November 4 to 23 at Kohima Local Ground under the theme “Together we can.”
Announcing this in a press conference here today, Classic Club president K. Neibou Sekhose said that a total prize amounting to Rs. 10 lakh has been set aside for this 25th Classic Cup.
The Club is expecting teams from the neighboring states as well.
All the former champion teams have been invited for this silver jubilee tournament.
In the name of the silver jubilee celebration, the prize for champion has been enhanced to Rs. 3 lakh from Rs. 1.50 lakh, said Sekhose.
The runner- up will get Rs. 2 lakh while losing semi finalists will receive Rs. 50,000 each.
The most participating team of Classic Cup tournament will be awarded with Rs. 25,000.
There will also be special prize for best discipline team, most lovable player, best referee and best picture of the tournament.
The player of the tournament will be awarded with a bike while best goalkeeper, best defender, best midfielder, best forward and highest scorer will get a bicycle each.
“This time, it will be single use plastic free tournament,” said tournament director Zakiekhotuo Kiso.
An entry fee of Rs. 5000 shall be charged from all teams desiring to participate in the tournament.
The selected teams are to submit their entry fee along with player list in the prescribed form on or before 3:00 PM on October 28 to M/S Kohima Sports World, opposite Bank of Baroda, M/S Vaude Villa Hardware Dziiviirii, opposite Belho Gas Service Kohima and M/S Global Sports, Dr. KK Angami Complex, Midland, opposite Oking Hospital Kohima.
