Round Table Conference on ‘Annual Survey of Industries (ASI) was held at Hotel Saramati ‘Shilloi Lounge’ Dimapur on October 28.
Dimapur, October 29 (MExN): The National Statistics Office (Field Operations Division), Regional Office, Kohima organised one-day Round Table Conference (RTC) on ‘Annual Survey of Industries (ASI) at Hotel Saramati ‘Shilloi Lounge’ Dimapur on October 28.
Representatives from various factories (manufacturing, repairing, cold storage etc) of ASI units participated, stated a press release issued by Publicity Cell, NSO (FOD) Regional Office, Kohima.
The Conference started with a brief note on ASI by E Renbi Jami, ISS, Director, National Statistics Office (FOD), RO Kohima highlighting theimportance of the survey which generate the Gross Domestic Product (GDP)of the country for the National Policy making.
Avi Thakro, Senior Statistical Officer presented the PPT and Hands on ASI so as the representatives learn and file the returns of ASI by themselves accessing to web-portal. LK Ngathingkhui, ISS, Assistant Director, National Statistics Office (FOD), RO, Kohima presented his ‘Experience on ASI’.
Queries by the representatives in respect to filing of returns were clarified accordingly. Forms of Questionnaires for feedback were distributed where most of the representatives are of the view to have more conference/training, found to be useful of today’s RTC, now they will try to compile the ASI returns by themselves etc.
The programme chair was Athuo Kaihrii, SSO while welcome address was delivered by R Mhabemo Ngullie, SSO and vote of thanks by Nenghoilhing Haolai, SSO.
