Rural Experience Centre inaugurated in Longleng

Longleng, November 4 (MExN): The Community Care & Empowering Society (CCES) inaugurated a much-needed Rural Experience Centre at Phom Baptist Christian Association (PBCA) Mission Centre, Longleng on November 4, with support from the Customized Energy Solutions Foundation and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). 

The Deputy Commissioner of Longleng, W Manpai, graced the occasion as the special guest, stated a DIPR report. In his address, Manpai underscored that different regions require customized interventions suited to their specific needs.

He highlighted the significance of the Rural Experience Centre in promoting rural empowerment, encouraging innovation, and introducing appropriate machinery for agricultural and community use.

Executive Secretary of PBCA, N. Tialemba Phom in his welcome address, emphasized the importance of implementing projects that cater to the needs of the rural communities. Rupesh Badkhal, Program Manager, CESF and UNDP presented the background and context of the Rural Experience Centre initiative.

The inaugural programme was chaired by Yingchu Phom, CCES, while Rev. Mongvai led the opening prayer. The event saw participation from several farmers and community members.

The program concluded with a benediction, followed by live demonstrations of the machinery and interactive sessions with the attendees.
