Dimapur, November 15 (MExN): Sahoi sub-centre new building was inaugurated by Dr. Toshevi Sema Keditsu, Director (Family Welfare) and Mission Director (NRHM) on November 11.
Speaking on the occasion as chief guest Dr. Toshevi urged the staff of the health centre to initiate institutional delivery in the sub-centre and encouraged the communities of Sahoi as well as the adjoining villages to join hands in the management of the health centre so as to bring in more developments to the centre. She also declared to adopt Sahoi sub-centre as her own sub-centre and assist in the management and development of the centre.
Dr. Sukhato A Sema, Chief Medical Officer appreciated the ASHAs for their efforts in spreading health awareness in the villages and also urged all villages to observe village health & nutrition day regularly and also to maintain records and documentation of all health activities.
Dr. Khanlo, Addl. Director also lauded the efforts of the communities and their contributions in terms of monetary and logistics towards the construction of the building. He also hoped that the community will continue lending their support and co-operation to the health workers and all the health activities.
The inauguration function was chaired by Y. Viqheto Chishi, VHC Chairman. Dr. Kavito, MO i/c Niuland, Dr. Kika, Dy. Director and S. Nihokhu Hd. GB Sahoi also spoke on the occasion. Other officials present were Dr. Zathang, Dy. Director (RCH), Dr. Watizulu (MMU) and Amongla, Dy. Director (Nursing).
