Winners of the Sainik School Punglwa Inter-House Badminton Championship 2025-26.
DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 17 (MExN): The Sainik School Punglwa Inter-House Badminton Championship 2025-26 concluded on October 16.
Col (Dr) Smita Misra, Principal of Sainik School Punglwa, attended the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest. Lt Col Amit Chaudhary, Vice Principal, staff, and cadets were also present at the event.
Congratulating the winners, Col (Dr) Misra encouraged the cadets to continue pursuing excellence through discipline and sportsmanship. She distributed certificates, medals, and trophies to the champions across the different categories.
The annual sports event began on September 16 with participation from 72 cadets competing across four categories — Sub Junior, Junior, Girls, and Holding House.
Tizu House emerged as the champion in the Junior category, while Pauna House secured the top position in the Sub-Junior category.
In the singles events, Bhola Kumar of Tizu House, N Helish Singh of Patkai House, Manjushri of Tizu House, and Lenin Singh of Dzukou House were declared champions in the Junior Boys, Sub-Junior Boys, Girls, and Holding House categories respectively.
According to the organisers, the championship was aimed at developing the sporting skills of cadets while promoting teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition among students.
