Sanctuary Choir & friends presents “Jubilate Deo’ in Kohima

The Sanctuary Choir and friends presented “Jubilate Deo” during the Union Baptist Church Jubilee (UBC) Jubilee Concert at Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima.

This concert held for two days (August 27 to 28) also featured special performance by Dr Kethoser Aniu Kevichusa, Nourhe Khate, Keneingunuo Rio and UBC Male Voice.
The musical work, presented at the concert is entitled “Jubilate Deo” by Dan Forrest, a 45-50 minutes choral and orchestral work.
This choral performance is based on Psalm 100 and brings out the Psalms global aspect by incorporating music cultures of different regions of the world. Represented by seven language groups in seven movements, this work brings out the essence of Psalm 100.
The choir presented the chamber ensemble version comprising of 55 singers and 13 musicians, led by conductor Vimezo Iralu.
This fundraising event concert was the first major local event highlighting the upcoming UBC Golden Jubilee celebration to be held in October 2023.
