DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 1 (MExN): The Sand Stockiest and Suppliers Unions of Dimapur and Chümoukedima along with the Assam Sand Supply & Truck Owner Association Nagaland have decided to open the supply of sand at Manja route from December 2 and resolved to fix the rate @Rs 55/- per cft (stock rate).
During a meeting, the unions “found out that some individual adopted by the Naga has been conspiring with the counterparts and deliberately looting the Naga populace by shooting up the price of sand at their own whims and fancies.”
The unions cautioned those individuals to desist from such unwarranted activities that jeopardize the interest of the Naga people and further stated that “we shall be compelled to initiate strict action against those individuals if found indulging in hiking the price of the sand for their own selfish benefits.”
The public were also asked to be informed about the price of sand and deal with the stockiest in accordance with the price fixed by the undersigned and inform the union in the following phone numbers: 9436603153/ 6909826707/ 9856984169 if anyone is found selling the sand above the price fixed.
