Sanitation Campaign for women bodies held

Wokha, November 11 (DIPR): Orientation programme on Total Sanitation Campaign for women bodies for Wokha district was held on November 10 at LTC Hall, with Deputy Commissioner Wokha, Rovilatuo Mor as the Chief Guest. The programme was organized by Kyong Eloe Hoho and sponsored by department of PHE Nagaland.
Speaking during the inaugural function, the chief guest said when the Government is introducing such programmes for our benefit; individual efforts should be put in, to make the programme a success. Stating cleanliness as the only way to lead a healthy and happy life he pointed out that our contribution in keeping Town/Village clean should be taken as social service or missionary work.
Executive Engineer PHED Wokha, Er.Vihoto Achumi and Jr. Engineer Limathung Odyuo also delivered short speeches. Delivering the Presidential address, President Kyong Eloe Hoho thank the Government of Nagaland for initiating such programmes and entrusting the Tribal Women Bodies to organize the programme, where she assured to extend all possible support from their end for the success of this policy.
Later in the second session, Dr. Zuben Kikon, District Programme Officer (NVBDCP) spoke on the Importance of Sanitation for Good Health, while Thungjano Tsanglao President Kyong Eloe Hoho highlighted on the topic “Good Sanitary Practices”. Women representatives from all the villages under Wokha District attended the function.
