Zunheboto, June 25 (MExN): Sapotimi village under Suruhuto Block, Zunheboto district joined the list of villages in Nagaland to attain a status of 100% vaccination.
According to a press release from Shekho Sophie, District Media Officer, CMO Office Zunheboto the village conducted the first COVID-19 vaccination drive on April 13 where 71 beneficiaries were vaccinated. Again on June 6, a second vaccination drive was held and a total 99 beneficiaries were vaccinated.
On June 23, the village GBs and elders came forward with a determination to vaccinate all its eligible citizens to make the village 100% vaccinated. Accordingly, a team of medical staff led by Dr Abolu Yeptho, MO Suruhuto PHC visited the village on June 23 and vaccinated the remaining 17 members in the presence of Village Council Chairman and GBs of Sapotimi Village. A total 187 beneficiaries have been vaccinated, the release informed.
