Dimapur, December 28 (MexN):The 3-day general conference of Sakipheto Area Students’ Union began on December 27 at Sakipheto village under the theme “duties and responsibilities of a student in a society”. Kaito Aye, Minister, Road & Bridges, government of Nagaland was the chief guest in today’s morning session.
Er. Atoho A. Achumi, Executive Engineer, Power Department, Tuensang Division, as a speaker of the conference presented a lecture based on the theme during the inaugural session on December 27 evening.
According to Alfred Aye, advisor to the union, the chief guest in his speech challenged the students to inculcate the leadership quality as they prepare to take the reins of tomorrow. Kaito also encouraged the students to develop dignity of labour in them.
Chief Guest also committed to take up the development of village approach road from Pherima village to GMS Sakipheto.
Kivikhu Chophy said the invocation for the function while Vilika Zhimo, MKK presented special song. Various cultural competitions were held during the function.
