Jakhama, November 29 (MExN): The Southern Angami Youth Organisation (SAYO) has ‘outrightly’ condemned the killing of Constable Kevisekho Khate 10th IRB of Khonoma Village and Lance Naik T Zewangba Yimkhiung, NAP Ranger of Kiphire Area allegedly by their colleague Constable Zenise Yhoshü, NAP Rangers on November 22 in Lamhainamdi Village, Peren.
Calling the action an “underrated murder” and uncalled for in a civilised and peace loving society, the SAYO requested the law enforcing authority to give befitting punishment to the culprit as per the terms of the law.
It further urged the state government to take the matter seriously and offer necessary assistance for the bereaved family members on humanitarian ground.
“We stand in solidarity with the families of our slain brothers. May Almighty God give solace and peace to their loved ones and pray that their souls rest in eternal peace,” stated the SAYO in a press release from its president Metekhrielie Mejura and General Secretly, Metevizo Sophie.
