DIMAPUR, JULY 2 (MExN): Stating that “justice” was being denied by the Manipur Government on the 21st June incident where Mr. Keneinguto Mejura along with a friend were poisoned and their vehicle snatched away. “Southern Angami Youth Organisation (SAYO) is obliged to serve a three days ultimatum (which will expire on 5th July 2012) to the Government of Manipur whereby, it shall be expected that along with the vehicle, the 4 (four) accused should be produced to SAYO”, stated a press note issued by Peter Zashumo, President SAYO and Zaprani Mekro, Convenor Action Committee SAYO. According to the SAYO, “negligence on the part of Manipur Govt. shall invite heavy penalties which SAYO will not regret for its action”. “Had the Government been a little more dedicated in its effort to nab the culprits it should have done it without much difficulties, the identities of the accused being revealed”. The SAYO therefore questioned the sincerity of the law enforcing authority.
