Sazo exhorts women to have a new vision

Tuensang, April 20 (DIPR): The 2nd General Conference of Eastern Nagaland Women Organisation got underway at Tuensang local Ground on April 18 and it will conclude on April 20. The programme was hosted by Changsao Thangjam Satshang, Tuensang Town. Parliamentary Secretary for Social welfare, Child and Women Development, Nagaland Kohima, Chotisuh Sazo was the chief guest on April 19.
Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, he congratulated the women for playing a vital role in the family as well as in the society as a whole. The chief guest believed that if a mother raised their Children well there will be more peace in our fertile Society and appreciated the ENWO for carrying out many activities for the upliftment of the community. He said that with the celebration of the 2nd General Conference the women would do better with a new vision and explore the talents so to improve the economic condition and the Social status of Women. He also released a Book on Food Recipes of “Eastern Nagaland” and launched Vitamin Angles Project in Eastern Nagaland.
Short speeches were also delivered by Chairperson, Nagaland State Social Welfare Advisory Board, Kakhela; Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Y. L. Jami (IAS); Additional Secretary to the Government of Nagaland and Deputy team leader, NEPED; President ENSF and President CKS. The Presidential address was delivered by Asangla Cholong.
The programme started with an invocation prayer offered by President, Pastor’s Union Tuensang. Other highlights of the programme included folk song presented by Akehda Sangtamlaru Thsingmujang, Pongsochu (Raj Verma) Special song by Bendangla and friends, Lulla
