Kohima, March 17 (MExN): The Sazolie College, Phezhu, Jotsoma is all set to conduct 1st ‘Crimson Festiva’ 2026 from March 19 to 21 at the college premises.
Crimson represents the vibrant spirit of the festival, inspiring creative expression, passion and artistic endeavours, encouraging students to showcase their talents, according to Sazolie College.
It symbolizes the college community’s strength, unity, vitality and interconnectedness of life. It also encourages students to walk in power, passion and purpose. The ‘Crimson Festiva’ offers a diverse line-up to showcase talent and honour the rich heritage of the Nagas.
Day 1 (March 19) will focus on cultural heritage and strength with Nagaland’s tourism & higher education minister Temjen Imna Along as the special quest. It will feature winnowing competition, machete competition, Naga wrestling competition and snail eating competition.
In Naga wrestling, the champion will carry a cash prize of Rs. 15,000 while 2nd, 3rd and 4th place holders will receive Rs 10,000, Rs 7000 and Rs 5000 respectively.
Day 2 (March 20) will feature intellectual & artistic flair.
The 18th Inter-Collegiate Debate competition on the topic “Nagaland is a safe place for women” will take place on this day.
The winner of the debate competition will carry a cash prize of Rs 15,000 while 2nd & 3rd place holders will get Rs 10,000 and Rs 7500 respectively. There will be five consolation prizes at Rs 1000 each. Chess competition and flower arrangement competition will also take place on the same day.
Day 3 (March 21) will be marked by Rhythm & performances, featuring Battle of the Bands competition and high-stakes Dance Battles.
In Band competition, the winner will pocket a cash prize of Rs 20,000 while runner up will receive Rs 10,000. In Dance Battle (Solo), the first prize has been set at Rs 3000 and 2nd prize at Rs 1500.
Polar Lights, Moko Koza, Lam Grace and DJ Lil Bomb will make special performances.
Meanwhile, the winners in other events will also receive cash awards.
