Dimapur, March 29 (MExN): The Secheku Baptist Church Council Theological Fellowship (SBCCTF) held a session at Sümi Baptist Church, Phek district on March 27 and 28.
According to a press release received on Monday, on the first day SBCCTF President Vevo K Dzudo highlighted the activities of SBCCTF such as encouraging churches to have good libraries, encouraging churches to sponsor theological students and initiation of tree plantation drives in 16 SBCC churches. In the second session, Rev Dr Yepetso Wezah, Auxiliary Secretary- BSI Dimapur Auxiliary and Dr Khrotsoloü Wetsah, Lecturer, Baptist Theological College, Pfutsero gave paper presentations on the topic ‘Heresy’ and ‘Christian Nominalism’ respectively.
The release further stated that during the sessions, the SBCCTF resolved to “safeguard the ministry of God from the impending threat of ‘Heresies’ by being well-equipped with the words of God and inculcate Biblical Doctrines in the churches.” It also resolved to break away from ‘Nominalism,’ which it said, is prevailing in the church today and recommit to strengthen the ministry.
