State Bank of India, Tuensang and Noklak organized credit outreach camp under the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Government of India in celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav 75 years of Indian Independence as a part of celebration of Iconic week across the country in CKS Hall in Tuensang on June 8. 

The purpose of the outreach programme is to reach all parts of the country with maximum participation of staff and customers and public at large.

The programme was conducted by M Imtitoshi Longkumer, Branch Manager, SBI Tuensang Bazar Branch.

Lohou Besii, Chief Manager, SBI Tuensang Branch gave the welcome address and spoke on the financial literacy. Financial, digital, social security schemes under PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY were some of the topics covered. In-principle sanction letters were distributed to various beneficiaries as well.

Thungchanbemo Tungoe, NCS, ADC Tuensang in his short speech said, “For the bankers, a good relationship with their customers is held at utmost importance. Trust between the bank and their customers is necessary, use the loan money judiciously and repay the loan amount regularly because it will help you in future for your next loan. Do not try to fool the bank, they are very lenient towards the customers or they can easily take necessary actions in linkage with the District Administration.”

Meanwhile, vote of thanks was delivered by T Talitemsu Jamir, Senior Manager, Nagaland State Cooperative Bank Ltd, Tuensang branch.
