SBTA to celebrate Golden Jubilee from May 15

Dimapur, May 13 (MExN): The Sümi Baptist Theological Association (SBTA), founded in 1976 by a group of visionary Sümi theological students, is set to celebrate its Golden Jubilee marking 50 years of its establishment from May 15 to 17, at Trinity Theological College, Thahekhu, Dimapur.

According to a press release issued by the Media Team of the SBTA Jubilee Planning Board, the association was established by a handful of Sümi theological students, most of whom were then studying at Eastern Theological College.

“What began as a small fellowship has, by God’s grace, grown significantly over the years,” the release stated, adding that many Sümi theologians have since graduated from various theological institutions across India and abroad and are serving faithfully in diverse ministries.

On the occasion of the jubilee celebration, the SBTA has extended a warm invitation to all Sümi theological graduates serving in different ministries, theological graduates irrespective of their alma mater, and even those who are no longer actively engaged in ministry.

The association has also invited spouses and families of theological graduates, as well as well-wishers, to join the celebration.

The event aims to provide an opportunity for participants to thank God, reflect on His faithfulness over the past five decades, and look ahead with renewed commitment and vision, the release added.
