Scheduled total power shutdown in Zunheboto on January 22 and 23

Mokokchung, January 21 (MExN): The Zunheboto district will face a scheduled power shutdown on January 22 and 23, as areas fed by the 132/66/33kV Aolijen Sub-Station will remain without electricity during specified hours to facilitate grid upgradation work, the Power Department informed on Wednesday.

On January 22 and 23, power supply will be disrupted from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, affecting the 66kV Zunheboto, 33kV Akuloto and 33kV NU Lumami feeders (see table).

The outage is required for the stringing of a 132kV transmission line at the Tuensang Dead End Tower as part of the commissioning of the new 132/33kV GIS Tuensang Sub-Station under the North Eastern Region Power System Improvement Project (NERPSIP), the Department said.

It further appealed consumers in the affected areas to extend cooperation and bear the inconvenience during the shutdown period.
