The recent dissolution of United Sangtam Likhum Bümji (USLB) by USR (Sangtam Region) of NSCN (IM) is highly condemnable. The clarification issued by T.T.Among, Kilonser of NSCN (IM) and C.A.O of Sangtam Region which appeared in some local dailies recently does not carry any ‘iota of truth’, justifying the dissolution of the tribal council. It is nothing but a self centered interest and wishful thinking only.
They claimed that the USLB was dissolved due to disunity in the organization and that the dissolution was aimed at restoring understanding and unity in USLB. Sangtam’s cannot be fooled by such vested leaders who are instigating and working for their promotions and self benefits at the cost of their land and its interests at any costs. Please keep your hands off from it as your responsibilities are of different one. Any one who goes against the land and its people will be ‘cursed’. General public knows the persons responsible for creating misunderstanding in the USLB, leading to the expulsion of Shri. Horangse and Thrinimong and two others for a certain period of time for going against the consensus decision of the USLB.
National workers should rather seek the blessings of the people in their endeavors, instead of sowing the hatred and misunderstanding in the functioning of such civil societies. Let there be no history against you.
If any further interference in the functioning of USLB and related incident takes place, the whole responsibility shall be borne by the person concerned. Sangtams’ have no enmity with any particular faction. We equally treat them as our National workers.
