Second leg of 'Shaurya Yatra' flagged off in Nagaland

Lt General, Abhijit S Pendharkar, AVSM, YSM, General Commanding Officer, Spear Corps, flagged the second leg of the 3900 Kms bike rally from Ranagapahar Military Station, Dimapur on March 15.

Dimapur, March 15 (MExN): Lt General, Abhijit S Pendharkar, AVSM, YSM, General Commanding Officer, Spear Corps, flagged the second leg of the 3900 Kms bike rally from Ranagapahar Military Station, Dimapur on March 15.

The 15-day mega bike rally which commenced its journey from Vijaynagar, Arunachal Pradesh is travelling through nine states and will reach the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat on March 23, stated a DIPR report. The rally has travelled through two states, covered 550 Kms and also interacted with over 200 Ex-Servicemen enroute. The bikers felicitated Mintu Tikhak, grandson of Late Rfn Lamtu Tikhak, first individual to join the Assam Rifles from Tangsa community.

12 bike riding enthusiasts from Indian Army, Assam Rifles and locals from Arunachal Pradesh will continue to interact with Ex-Servicemen and thank them for their service and their continued contribution to Nation Building. The bikers will also interact with school children and motivate them to join the Indian Armed Forces.
