‘Security drill’ on April 28,  Dimapur CP issues advisories

Dimapur, April 26 (MExN): In view of a ‘security drill’ scheduled to take place on April 28, Dimapur Commissioner of Police Rothihu Tetseo has issued an advisory restricting parking of vehicles along the route from Dimapur Airport-Airport Junction- Tragopan Junction- City Tower- DC Court Junction- Dillai Gate. The ‘No Parking’ restriction will remain in effect from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on April 28, the CP stated while requesting the road users to plan their journeys in advance.

‘No Flying Zone’ 
In another statement, the CP also informed that the whole area of Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland would be declared as “No flying zone” for remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) for the period of 10 days with effect from April 27. The order was issued in addition to a previous standing order that prohibits flying of RPAs within an aerial distance of 3 km from the perimeter of the Nagaland’s lone airport in the district. It cautioned that violations would amount to suspension/ cancellation of the UIN/ UAOP of the RPA issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and also attract punitive action under relevant sections of Indian Penal code, Aircraft Act 1934, the Aircraft Rules 1937 or any statutory provisions.
