Chakpa Students’ Union Mokokchung Town Unit (CSUMTU) under its motto, ‘hard labour, key to success,’ organized a one-day seminar on the theme ‘Self-Exploration’ at Penli Ward Community Hall, Mokokchung on June 18.
Lanutoshi Longkumer, President, Chakpa Senso Telongjem Mokokchung, in a short exhortation expressed gratitude to the CSUMTU for organizing the seminar stating that ‘it was a need of the hour.’
Longkumer urged students to refrain from using their cell phones excessively, comparing it to the use of drugs. He also cautioned the pupils about the dangers of excessive smart phone use, equating it to drug addiction. “In a student's life, books should always come first,” he stated. Longkumer also emphasised the necessity of preserving the Ao language, which he believes would become extinct if today's youth chose to neglect our culture's rich traditions.
Dr Moakumla Longkumer, Associate Professor, Allahabad Bible Seminary, spoke on 'Self Discovery' and 'Self and the Bible' during the three-part seminar. Dr Aotemshi, Assistant Professor, Fazl Ali College Mokokchung and proprietor Straightway Hr Sec School, spoke on 'Self Confidence.'
