Seminar on HIV & AIDS held at Aliba

Participants at the one day seminar on HIV & AIDS which was conducted for youths and married couples up to the age of 50 years at Aliba village on January 12.
 
Dimapur, January 13 (MExN): A one day seminar on HIV & AIDS was conducted for youths and married couples upto the age of 50 years at Aliba village on January 12. It was organized by Aliba village Health Committee under Aliba village council and the resource persons were from Care & Support Society and NMP+, Mokokchung.
Care & Support Society, Managing Director, Imchawati Kichu said in a press release that the speakers dwelled on different topics like “Understanding HIV & AIDS & Scenario”, “Stigma & Discrimination, Care & Treatment for PLHA”, Prevention of HIV & AIDS among the youth” and “Drug Abuse and its repercussion”. Around 200 youths and married couples attended the seminar. The group was divided into two among youth and married ones, where the program was a great success with discussion and feedback among the participant, followed by Voluntary Blood Testing which was conducted by C&SS Mobile-ICTC.
Around 50 participants volunteered for blood test. The village Health Committee conveyed gratitude to Care & Support Society and NMP+ for their service rendered to the committee during the seminar.
