Mokokchung, November 11 (DIPR): Seminar on ‘Human Rights: Contemporary World Perspective’ was held at Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung. Participants comprising students and faculty members from various colleges from Nagaland and other North-East states are attending the two-day seminar, sponsored by University Grant Commission (UGC).
The seminar included extensive academic discourse on the whole gamut of human rights issues keeping in mind the perpetual conflict situation and violation of human rights with special reference to North East and Nagaland state.
Resource persons from various universities and colleges of the North East spoke on various issues relating to human rights during the two-day seminar.
Director, Higher Education, Chubainla who inaugurated the seminar said participants would be greatly benefitted and enriched their knowledge on the values of inalienable human rights. She also described the seminar as timely exercise.
FAC Principal, Kohuli Chishi in her welcome address said FAC is fortunate to organize National level seminars for the third time and she expressed deep gratitude to the UGC for sponsoring the current seminar.
