Mon, December 10 (MExN): Awareness seminar on 'Rights of Women and Children' was held on December 10 at DRDA Conference hall Mon.
The resource persons during the function were Lynnee, Sub Inspector, Mon Women Police spoke on the topic, "Overview of Violence against Women and Children in Mon and Services provided by police"; Wanloi H. Konyak, Legal Cum Protection Officer, DCPU Mon shared on the topic "Service of integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS)" and M.Moba, Panel Lawyer from Mon District Service Legal Authority shared on the topic "Service under the Nagaland State Legal Service Authority for Women and Children".
Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS delivered the concluding remarks and Ihoilung Chuilo EAC Mon chaired the programme.
Representatives from all wards led by its chairmen under Mon town attended the programme. The programme was organised by District Administration, Mon under the theme, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (save the Girl Child). This was stated in a DIPR report.
