Send-off service of Late Imtikumzuk Longkumer at Kohima held

Kohima, September 24 (MExN): A send-off service of Late Imtikumzuk Longkumer, Advisor, Sericulture and Excise was held at his official residence, New Minister’s Hill Kohima today in the morning.  

A DIPR report here informed that various individuals and organizations in the districts spoke and conveyed condolences during the service.  

Wife of Late Imtikumzuk Longkumer, Imkongzungla in her speech described her husband as a man with good qualities who was humble, sincere in his work and a person who loved serving the people. He was also hard working and would always see to the needs of the public. She also described him as a loving and a good father to his children.  

Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya paid respect to the departed leader by laying wreath.  

Minister for Higher Education & Technical Education, Temjen Imna Along; working President NDPP Alemtemshi Jamir; Legislators Imkong L Imchen; Minister for Agriculture and Cooperation, G Kaito Aye; Kohima Ao Telongjem Vice President Chubalepzuk; and President Ungma Senso Telongjem, Kohima spoke during the service.  

The service was chaired by State Chaplin, Rev Kuzierang Thou.  

More condoles Further, more organizations have conveyed condolence for the demise of the leader.  

Nagaland Civil Service Association: Nagaland Civil Service Association (NCSA) in a condolence message issued by President NCSA, W Honje Konyak stated that the NCSA remembers and acknowledges the invaluable contribution and public service rendered by Late Imtikumzuk to the State. “In his untimely demise, the State has lost an honest, humble and dynamic leader,” he stated. The Association also prayed that the Almighty God grant strength and solace to the bereaved family at this difficult time.  

Legislators’ Forum on AIDS: Legislators’ Forum on AIDS (LFA) Nagaland stated that Late Imtikumzuk Longkumer was treasurer and a keen supporter of the programme. “His sincerity and magnanimous attitude was demonstrated for the interest of LFA and its mission during his tenure as the Executive Member of LFA,“ read a condolence note from LFA State Consultant Dr Vinito L Chishi. The forum also expressed sympathy and prayer for the family.  

Ao Senden: Ao Senden said “on his demise the Nagas have lost a great visionary leader creating a vacuum which will be difficult to fill up.” In a condolence note from its Vice President Chubawati Longchar and Secretary Imtipokyim, the Ao Senden conveyed heartfelt Condolence to his wife, Imkongzenla Jamir and her children and prayed that Almighty God will grand solace at this hour of grief.  

Angami Public Organisation: The Angami Public Organisation (APO) said “he was a promising leader and an abled person, loved and admired by all. His good gestures and valuable services towards our people and the society will never be forgotten. Words are inadequate to express the grief yet in silent prayers,” a condolence note from APO President Dr Kepelhusie Terhüja said.
