The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Nagaland today presented the state level best Booth Level Officer (BLO) award to Sentitula from Mokokchung district for her dedication in discharging of her electoral duties.
Abhijit Sinha, principal secretary, Home department, Nagaland handed over the award to the later during the State Level celebration of 16th National Voters’ Day 2026 under the theme “ My India, My Vote” at Hotel Japfu, Kohima.
Sentitula, Primary Teacher and BLO of Polling Station No. 5, Alongmen Ward under 25th Mongoya Assembly Constituency was appointed as BLO in 2010. She consistently demonstrated sincerity, dedicated and commitment in discharge of her electoral duties
During continuous updation of electoral roll 2025, she processed 5 Form-6, 9 Form-7, and 204 Form-8.
H Longching of Yingli Government College, Longleng, was awarded Best Campus Ambassador in the State for his proactive role in creating electoral awareness within the campus.
He facilitated the enrolment of 21 friends, staff and others, submitted 12 Form- 7 and 27 Form- 8.
Best BLO under Kohima district
On the basis of performance in the preparation of Electoral Rolls during the continuous updation 2025, Kohima Deputy Commissioner B Henok Buchem presented the best BLO award to six BLOs under Kohima district.
The recipient includes; Dievizoto Punyu, Teacher Incharge, GPS Khono Thevo, Khonoma ( 8-Western Angami A/C), Velhukholu, SA Directorate of Urban Development (9-Kohima Town A/C), Menuotuonuo Rutsa, Primary Teacher, GHSS Chiechama (10-Northern Angami-I A/C), Mhasivotuo Kerhuo, Carpentry Instructor, GHS, Nerhema Model Village (II-Northern Angami- II A/C), Khozo Yhoshu, Graduate Teacher, GHSS Kigwema (14-Southern Angami-1 A/C) and Kekuvil Pucho, Primary Teacher, GMS, Kidima (I5-Southern Angami-II A/C).
Further, 12 first time voters under Kohima district were also felicitated during the programme. It included; Seyievi Ratsa, Thejaser Shuya, Keneikhrienuo Pienyu, Ebirhoni Patton, Tssureni Yanthan, Rahul Basumatary, Ruokuozonuo Kense, Visieto Phira, Thejazeno Nagi, Ketshukietuo Khezhie, Hutovolu Chizo and Etolu Chizo.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Chisho Swu, Assistant Election Officer, Kohima while welcome address was delivered by B Henok Buchem, Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Kohima.
Sunep Lemtur, State SVEEP Icon presented a special number while vote of thanks was proposed by R Mhathung, Joint Chief Electoral Officer.
