Servanthood Bible College holds 24th Convocation

DIMAPUR, MAY 9 (MExN): Servanthood Bible College held its 24th Convocation today with Rev Kilang Jamir as the speaker for the occasion. Total 70 students graduated from the College in B. Th., M. Div., M. Min., and In Service training.

In his speech, Reverend Jamir congratulated the graduating students and wished them well in their future ministry. Stating that, “The Church is looking for devoted workers,” the reverend challenged the students to devote to the calling of God, which he stated, “demands commitment.” “Surrender completely to God,” the Reverend urged.

Rev Jamir based his sermon on 2 Timothy 2:20-21 where it says - “In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.”

The Reverend challenged the congregation to separate from the sinful world and from all uncleanness. “God wants to use men,” Rev. Jamir stated and added, “A person’s relationship with God is more important than a degree or a certificate. When that link is missing, nothing gets fulfilled.”

Earlier, the program began with an invocation from Akumla, Lecturer SBC. Stella Sherpa delivered a speech on behalf of the graduating students where she challenged her contemporaries to live true to the Word of God.
